Building Careers for Girls is an opportunity for groups of Year 9 girls from local schools to experience and appreciate the various careers available within the construction industry. The first half of the day is spent at a Further Education College participating in a hands-on activity in either bricklaying, stencilling or painting and decorating. Students spend the second half of the day on a local building site where they can observe various stages of building construction in progress, hear a talk by the site manager and participate in more hands on activity.
