LEBC's Enterprise Team works with schools and colleges to prepare young people for the exciting challenges of working life; to help establish an entrepreneurial spirit and an understanding of economy and personal finance. The activities are targeted to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The activities we offer will: develop students' enterprise skills develop students' economic and financial skills provide interaction with local and national employers - improve students' personal development
Volunteering Volunteers are recruited from businesses to support all the activities and the time commitment varies from a couple of hours to a school day, 9.00am - 3.00pm approximately. Volunteers are briefed before events and fully supported throughout both by staff from the LEBC as well as the school. Where appropriate volunteer training is available prior to the event.
Schools Schools and Colleges are currently offered 11 various activities from the Enterprise Team although bespoke activities may also be developed to suit specific needs. Different strands of each activity encompass various parts of the work related learning and Enterprise criteria which now form part of a school's Ofsted inspection.
