FAO: STEM Teachers - Inspiring visit opportunity to FESTO

FESTO is a leading world-wide supplier of automation technology. They are keen to work with a wide age range of students, from year 6 through upwards, from local schools, colleges, universities.
FESTO are offering group visits on a Friday once a month for 11 months in 2012 from their plant at Caswell Road, Brackmills Industrial Estate, Northampton.
The timings for the sessions are:

During a session students will experience a presentation explaining Biometrics and the priojects FESTOesto are currently involved with in terms of cutting edge technologies.
Two workshops will follow this presentation:
- Workshop 1 will involve working with pneumatics on ‘bread boards’.
- Workshop 2 will explore a variety of working ‘models’ that illustrate the sort of work FESTO is involved with.
Workshops will be adapted according to the age of students.

STEM Ambassadors:
FESTO staff have joined the STEM Ambassadors scheme. This means that they have enhanced CRB checks and have made a pledge to help inspire and enthuse young people to continue to study Science, Technology, Enginering and Maths.
Throuout the visit your students will meet STEM Ambassadors within FESTO.
How to book a visit:
