The Big Bang Fair

13th January 2012

From 15 – 17 March 2012, The Big Bang Fair comes to The NEC, Birmingham.

The Big Bang is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people in the UK. The event aims to show young people just how many exciting and rewarding opportunities there are out there for them with the right experience and qualifications.

Thursday 15th and Friday 16th March are for school groups, while Saturday 17th is aimed at families. You will be able to get hands-on with a huge range of activities, enjoy theatre shows and be inspired by meeting some of the country’s leading science, technology, engineering and maths talent.

In addition to a fantastic showfloor where visitors can do everything from designing a solar powered water heater to exploring radioactivity, you can book places on the awe-inspiring theatre shows or hands-on workshops.

Workshops and exhibitions include: Build bridges with chocolate. Test your speed and strength, and learn about the science behind your body’s everyday, yet amazing, feats. Explore outer space with the Mars Rover. Learn about the forces behind rollercoasters. Discover how to save the world in 60 minutes. Find out about making movie magic with special effects. Enjoy live cookery demonstrations that show you how the food on your fork gets there. Meet robots, flying penguins and much, much more!

It’s free to attend and you can book online by clicking here.
