Young Enterprise Introduction Young Enterprise is a national education charity founded in 1963 with a mission to inspire and equip young people to learn and succeed through enterprise, by linking schools and businesses together. The approach is to "learn by doing" and build skills for the future through the following programmes. The Company Programme - involving students aged 15-19 years The Team Programme - specifically designed for young people aged 15-19+ years who have learning difficulties or other disabilities Primary Programme - consists of 6 fun and interesting modules, which are presented by Business Advisers in school. The modules are for children aged 4-11 years. Project Business - designed to give 14/15 year old students a practical activity based insight into economic and business life Enterpreneuship Masterclasses - half day seminars for students already running their company in the company programme Graduate Programme - for Higher Education students (see National website for details).
A full programme of activities takes place during the year including competitions, presentations, promotional displays at a craft fair and a final celebration awards evening. Young Enterprise is supported largely by the business community. Sponsorship is sought to support the key celebratory events and volunteer Business Advisers to support the programmes.
