Support for Schools/Colleges

Introduction

LEBC offers a wide variety of activities to schools along with support for teachers.  Most of these activities are supported by volunteers from the world of work.   More information can be found by clicking on the LEBC page and following it's initiative areas.

Primary schools are offered specific opportunities from the science, technology, engineering and maths team and also a literacy initiative called Right to Read.

Secondary Schools, also have activities on offer for science, technology, engineering and maths, as well as Key Stage 3 and 4 activites in enterprise, business and financial literacyand work experience placements.

Teachers, Head Teachers and management staff are also offered development opportunities by way of involvement through support from businesses.  This may be through management workshops, company visits or curriculum resource development.

A consultancy visit is also offered to schools to audit their needs and map current activity being carried out particularly in reference to Enterprise education in schools.
