  • Helping you to Recruit Apprentices

“LEBC referred some really good candidates to us and we have appointed 2 apprentices who will join our business in September. From the moment we contacted them, they made every effort to understand our needs, work with us through the sifting process and advise on the final offers. Great customer service!”
    Mike Kapur, Sempervox

“The Hub Le Bas Leicester branch are very grateful to Leicestershire Education Business Company in helping us with identifying a suitable candidate for the vacancy of a sale office apprentice. I would recommend LEBC to any company looking to fulfil any apprentice requirements.”

“I will say that Megan was a very good fit for the position we had available and fingers crossed is exactly what we were looking for. She also came to the interview well prepared which was refreshing. It is surprisingly difficult for us as a business to connect with young people in the local area and find the talent we would like to employ and develop, so we appreciate your assistance.”
    Kevin, PSL Freight

“Alisha at LEBC was very knowledgeable, approachable, and easy to deal with when we started our search for a finance and business apprentice, and we are pleased to say that we have found the perfect candidate. I can’t recommend Alisha highly enough.”
    Christine McDonald

“LEBC supported us with candidate sourcing, the communication with the team was very good and they organised interview slots promptly. We have now found an apprentice; I would absolutely recommend LEBC to others.”
    Marcus, Somerbys Chartered Accountants

“LEBC were incredibly easy to work with. They understood our person specification quickly and then sourced some excellent candidates for us to interview. We only had one vacancy for an Apprentice but we could have recruited all three youngsters that sent for interview! After we made our choice they supported us through the offer process as well. We would recommend LEBC without hesitation.”

“Our main objectives for participating in this event was supporting the local community, encouraging young people to pursue a career in law and raising the profile of the firm in the local area. The information beforehand was very helpful, provided within plenty of time and responses to questions were quick and helpful. Great event – well organised.”
    (Business Volunteer)

“This has been without doubt one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things I’ve been involved with. Going into schools and preparing students from the outside world. Mock interviews, talks, careers discussions and role plays. I’ve met some amazing young people and a super group of like-minded business people. There’s a scheme like this in every county and I encourage you to seek it out and give a little back.”

  • Careers Support

“When my mum arranged an interview with the Careers Adviser, I wasn’t sure how that would help much. I didn’t know what I wanted to do anyway. I wasn’t motivated to go. Once I was there, the Careers Adviser I saw was very friendly and assured me that there’s always options and my future starts now. I feel more motivated and I have an idea of what I want to work towards. Thank you so much.”

“My name is Callum and I am currently studying for my A-levels in my home county of Leicestershire. I’ve always had a keen interest in sport as well as a passion for aviation. Thanks to my parents, who kindly funded my first ten flying lessons, really gave me the boost that I needed to take my first steps into a career in aviation. My thanks go out to LEBC and the STEM network who put me in touch with Sam Read, a current Commercial Airline Pilot, who has been giving me guidance along my journey to becoming a Pilot. Like many STEM Ambassadors he kindly gives up his time to come and talk with me, as well as regularly emailing. Of course I would never have met Sam if it wasn’t for the LEBC who teamed up with my school to provide regular careers fairs and open talks. Alongside studying full time and part time work commitments, I have recently completed my first solo flight, and I am now flying solo on various exercises and nearing the end of the course towards completing my license. Last week I was able to meet Sam for lunch after flying circuits at East Midlands Airport, just as Sam had landed from Cyprus.

Finally, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the STEM network and LEBC, and especially Samantha White, the careers adviser at my secondary school, for all of her help organising careers events as well as giving me a way of staying in touch with Sam after leaving school.”

“The interview went well, I got the job! Thank you so much for all your help. I don’t know what I would do without you. I can’t thank you enough.”

She found amazing job opportunities for me and helped me prepare for interviews and gave me a lot of advice and helped with my nerves as I was quite nervous. I would 100% recommend you to friends and colleagues. In fact, I have already recommended Alisha in LEBC to a friend and the support provided to him was immensely helpful and great!”

“When I had been offered an interview for a degree apprenticeship, I was feeling really apprehensive and nervous. I reached out to the LEBC team and was offered to do a practice mock interview to help me prepare. I found this extremely helpful as it gave me a realistic idea of what to expect from an interview and left me feeling more prepared and less anxious for it. They were also able to offer me invaluable feedback that really helped me to improve my responses when it came to the actual interview. As a result, I was offered the degree apprenticeship as a Technology Degree Apprentice! I am really grateful for all the help I received from the LEBC team and would really recommend anyone wanting to go down the apprenticeship route to contact them!”

“LEBC has helped me in taking the next steps in life by playing a huge part in transitioning me from my A-Levels to a full time Finance Apprenticeship, which is what I have been aspiring to grasp since starting Year 12. They first helped me by talking me through changes I can make in my CV to make it more attractive to employers in the job role I desired. Once this had been done, I was invited to a ‘Mock Interview’ with the CEO of the company, Barbara, where she developed my knowledge of interviews and helped me realise what to prepare in order to stand a chance in being successful. Within a month of finishing my A-Levels, LEBC had already found a couple of apprenticeships that they felt would suit me. Despite the first one not working out, they helped me to remain positive and learn from the experience of not getting the job. When the second apprenticeship interview came, I felt more confident going in and got invited back to the second stage. One week later I tackled the second interview and came out knowing I had given it my best shot and been myself. Later that day, I received a call off Barbara telling me that I had been successful and that I would be starting on the 5th of August. I owe LEBC the world for helping me transition from A-Levels with no planned future, to securing a perfect apprenticeship suited to me.”
    Mason Heard, Finance Apprentice

“I received my job offer the other day. Thank you for getting me this opportunity, I’m very grateful and your support was very effective. I have received an apprenticeship offer that gives me a great monthly salary and many future opportunities. Without this opportunity I would’ve had to settle for much less but now I have a chance to work hard and live well. Thank you for this Barbara!”
    Ethan Tature

Now I am looking forward to starting an apprenticeship with them, where I will receive specialist training and invaluable work experience within the world of accounting. Barbara guided me through the whole application process, from writing my CV to preparing for the interview which ensured I felt fully confident. I am really grateful for the opportunity that they gave me – thank you so much!”
    Eve Simpson
