Volunteering from the Community Introduction
LEBC's activities are many and varied. The majority operate with some degree of input from a volunteer from the world of work, a business volunteer. However, some are able to recruit volunteers from the wider remit of the community. This may be individuals wanting to enhance their skills or wanting to give something back. Students on a university or college course often volunteer to work in schools either for personal development or to enhance their c.v. Click on LEBC and look at the activities on offer. In particular the Right to Read programme recruits volunteers from the community. The Enterprise and Setpoint activities can also recruit from the community depending upon your experience in the workplace.
If you are interested in volunteering in schools and supporting the work of the LEBC then please contact us and we can discuss your interests and the best opportunity we have to serve those interests.
