406 Students Out on Work Experience Last Week
LEBC placed 406 students into work experience placements across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Northampton last week. Employer partners of LEBC back the organisation’s efforts because they recognise the value of work experience and how well it can help young people make the transition from school to the workforce. Did you know, attending work experience reduces the probability of becoming NEET from 11% to 7%? As part of the Social Market Research Foundation study, a national poll was conducted.
LEBC secured each placement with local employers, ranging from large and leading corporations to inspiring SMEs.
Every employer is visited by LEBC to conduct a Health & Safety check, and to support the employer to draw up a risk assessment. We also provide guidance on suitable tasks for the student to get involved in. These actions are carried out to ensure each employer is able to offer an impactful and safe experience for a student.
