Our School Event’s team are coming up to their busiest time of the year. Next term the team will be busy hosting 42 various events for different schools and colleges across Leicester and Leicestershire. Each event is designed to raise young people’s aspirations, and to provide an understanding of future career paths and the transition from education to the workplace. From Mock Interviews, Employability Days, and Speed Networking with professionals from a variety of sectors, our events aim to inspire. LEBC believe “if you can’t see it, you can’t be it”, that’s why our events feature business representatives from our database of local businesses, which cover a broad spectrum of sectors.
Next term the team will continue to deliver the ‘Unbox Your Future’ programme, an innovative project boosting high impact experiences of the workplace, and real-world work challenges for young people in education. The team will run the project with four different schools, and four different employers. Check back in with LEBC next term to hear how it’s going and the impact the project is having on young people in Leicester and Leicestershire.
LEBC are indebted to our business partners and volunteers, for generously dedicating their time, skills, and energy to support schools and the local community through supporting LEBC School Events. Volunteering through LEBC can develop recruitment channels, strengthen your community profile, and contribute to your Corporate Social Responsibility, as well as developing your own personal skills.
