‘We Discover Life Sciences’ STEM Teacher event.

The event is free to attend, and there are teacher cover bursaries available too.

Calling all teachers of STEM Subjects

Date: Thursday 29th June 2023

Time: 9am to 3pm

Location: At Charnwood Life Sciences Campus, Loughborough, LE11 5RB

Event Highlights:

  • A session developed with the Schools Development Support Agency (SDSA) on careers in the curriculum
  • Keynote Speakers:     
    • Nicky Morgan, The Rt Hon Baroness Morgan of Cotes and Chair of the Careers and Enterprise Company
    • Gosia Khrais, Commercial and Marketing Director for the Charnwood Campus Science, Innovation and Technology Park and LLEP Board Member
  • Marketplace with exhibition stands manned by Life Science employers, STEM Learning and Further and Higher Education providers
  • Panel discussion with members of the Charnwood Talent and Skills institute: Kindeva, Charnwood Molecular, Weiss Technik UK and Almac
  • Lunch and interactive industry demonstrations with Life Science employers including 3M.  These will be ‘hands-on’ opportunities and a chance to talk directly with employers.
  • Launch of Life Sciences World of Work resources for STEM educators
