NCS Action Day 2019

What is Action Day? NCS Action Day is a national movement where lots of NCS graduates will be getting together up and down the country to participate in some community social action to make a difference in your community.

NCS graduates are invited to the 'March for Mental Health' in Leicester, on Saturday 6th April. It's a 4.5 mile walk which intends to raise awareness about the critical issue of mental health in the UK. While spreading some joy across the city and boosting our own well-being, we want to raise the social awareness and understanding within our community about the importance of mental health. This Action Day we seek to encourage an open, positive, and supportive dialogue about mental health while educating the public on the mental health services and resources within Leicestershire. We will do this by giving out leaflets and posters along our walk to all that we meet and by wearing promotional T-shirts.

While helping to play a key role in raising mental health awareness in Leicester, the event is also an exciting NCS Reunion for Graduates to reconnect with their NCS teammates, and of course have the opportunity to meet new NCS Graduates from other waves last Summer and Autumn too!
