Meet Our London Marathon 2026 Runners

In April 2026, four incredible runners will be taking on the London Marathon in support of Leicestershire Education Business Company (LEBC). Each of them is running for a reason and driven by personal experiences, professional passions, and a shared commitment to improving outcomes for young people across Leicester and Leicestershire.

From championing mental health and social mobility to opening doors through work experience, meet the team proudly running on behalf of LEBC.

Alex

Alex is the host of Big Strong Leicester Boys, the LCFC-focused podcast that explores football, identity, and mental health. Through his work, Alex has become a powerful advocate for honest conversations around wellbeing , particularly for young men.

By running the London Marathon for LEBC, Alex is supporting young people’s futures and highlighting the importance of positive, informed conversations about careers and mental health. His fundraising reflects a belief that confidence, opportunity, and support can be life-changing when young people are given the space to explore what’s possible.

Craig

Craig is taking on the marathon challenge with the enthusiastic backing of his family and friends, is married to Gina, LEBC’s Work Experience Manager.

Craig has already made his mark as the unofficial champion of creative and competitive fundraising ideas, bringing fun and energy to the campaign.

Josh

Josh is a finance professional who sees first-hand the impact that background and access can have on career opportunities. Working alongside colleagues from more affluent and privately educated backgrounds has strengthened Josh’s passion for social mobility. By running for LEBC, he hopes to help young people access opportunities, raise aspirations, and ensure that talent – not circumstance – shapes future success.

Nathan

Nathan is a young professional whose own work experience played a pivotal role in shaping his career path. He understands how early exposure to the world of work can build confidence, direction, and ambition. Nathan is running to champion LEBC’s Work Experience services and the difference they make for young people navigating early career decisions. His fundraising supports opportunities that help students make informed choices and take meaningful first steps into the workplace.

Together, Alex, Craig, Josh, and Nathan are running more than 26.2 miles – they’re running to create opportunity, inspire ambition, and support brighter futures for young people.

We’re incredibly proud to have them representing LEBC at the London Marathon 2026.
