National Apprenticeship Week

Through LEBC’s ‘Aspiring Apprentice‘ programme, we have supported local young people to secure their dream Apprenticeships, including Eden and Aamina.

Eden’s Apprenticeship Success with the NHS

We first met Eden when she was recommended by a friend to contact LEBC after being informed of our Aspiring Apprentice programme.  Eden was interested in going down the Apprenticeship route rather than going to University, and so we started working on her CV and preparing for interviews, and when this was completed, we supported her to start applying for Apprenticeship vacancies.  Eden was successful at her recent interview and is now completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration at the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester.

Eden commented on the support received:

LEBC helped me immensely throughout my getting a apprenticeship journey, in particular Jo. She expressed interest to help me straight away and made sure she was available for any help I needed. Throughout my journey I spoke about different areas I was interested and was presented immediately with information and Apprenticeship vacancies in all fields. I received a offer for an Apprenticeship at the NHS, Jo helped me so much from feeling overwhelmed to completely confident going into my interview. This was due to her amazing interview skills session she did for me, which helped me be fully prepared and organised which led me to get the apprenticeship.”

Aamina’s Apprenticeship Success with KPMG

We first met Aamina at Beauchamp City Sixth Form in October 2024, where LEBC’s Jo Martin had delivered an assembly on Apprenticeships and explained the Aspiring Apprentice programme that LEBC provided.  Aamina was booked in for an Apprenticeship action plan session in October and we started preparing for interviews and assessment centre practice, and when this was completed, we supported her to start applying for Apprenticeship vacancies.  Aamina has now been offered a Level 6 Apprenticeship in Audit, with KPMG and is starting her Apprenticeship in September 2025.

Aamina commented on the support received:

“The Apprenticeship application process is long and not at all easy, so your support was invaluable. I was given guidance at every stage with resources made available to me. You ensured I would not be going into anything blind sighted, allowing me to feel confident in how hard I’ve worked. The constant support and reassurance allowed me to secure a Degree Apprenticeship offer for myself. Thank you so much.”

Eden and Aamina are just two of the 147 students from city and county schools and colleges currently receiving support to prepare and find an Apprenticeship through LEBC’s Aspring Apprentice Programme.
