National Careers Week 2025

It’s been a busy and successfull week here at LEBC:

  • Hundreds of students from 2 local schools have gone out on Work Experience Placements (with placements secured for a further 4,000 students to go out on placement by the end of this year).
  • We’ve ran Mock Interviews, Speed Networking and Guess My Job Careers events for over 600 local students across 3 schools.
  • We’ve given Careers Advice and Guidance 1:1 appointments to over 180, Year 10 and 11 students in 11 local schools.

What a week!

And to top it off 6 of the students who are part of our Aspiring Apprentices support programme have received Degree Apprenticeship offers from IBM, JP Morgan, KPMG and PWC!

One student, Zain who attends Beauchamp City Sixth Form wrote in to say:

I got a response from IBM CIC and I managed to get a conditional offer. Thank you for all of your help. That presentation practice and even more the interview practice really helped me smash that. Thank you very much.”

Anther student, Rudra, who also attends Beauchamp City Sixth Form commented:

“I can’t recommend Jo and the LEBC team enough! When I attended my sixth form’s apprenticeship fair, I had already applied to over 40 apprenticeships without a single offer. That’s when I met Jo, who introduced me to her “apprenticeship train” and explained how she provides one-to-one support to help students maximize their chances of securing an apprenticeship. It sounded like exactly what I needed—and I’m so glad I reached out!

For the past two months, Jo has been incredibly supportive, encouraging, and knowledgeable. She has helped me with mock interviews, presentation discussions, CV improvements, and confidence-building techniques, all of which made a huge difference. Thanks to her expert guidance and constant encouragement, I now have one apprenticeship offer, one reserve offer, and a few final-stage interviews in progress – something I never thought would be possible just a few months ago.

Jo and the LEBC team genuinely care about students’ success, and their support has been life-changing. I’m so grateful for their help and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for apprenticeship guidance. Thank you for everything!”

LEBC would like to thank it’s dedicated staff team for making this happen, not just this week, but 51 weeks a year :).
