Anjuu Trevedi MBE – Appointed as Interim CEO, Leicestershire Education Business Company
With over 25 years’ experience across science, technology, and business I have dedicated my career to fostering partnerships and impactful collaborations between industry and education to drive innovation and sustainable business developments.
As the CEO of the Leicestershire Education Business Company (LEBC), I am committed to augmenting LEBCs strong legacy of partnership working to bridge the gap between education and the workplace, ensuring young people have access to the skills, guidance, and opportunities needed to succeed and achieve their potential.
My professional journey began in 1978 when I joined the family retail businesses. These grew in time to successfully include additional outlets and eventually 3-star hotels/B&B. This early entrepreneurial experience provided first-hand insight into business growth, strategy, operations, customer service and adaptability. I went on to hold senior roles within the university sector to facilitate university-industry collaborations, Knowledge Exchange, application of academic excellence into practical innovative business solutions, business development, marketing and comms. In 2008, I moved from Brighton to Leicester to lead regional business engagement.
As the LEBC CEO I am passionate about supporting young people prepare for their future careers while providing a strong talent pipeline for the region’s businesses. To providing excellent customer service and resources to help students develop employability skills, access career guidance and gain valuable workplace experience with the support of our extensive network across local employers and education providers.
