STEM and Event Co-ordinator

Do you have experience of running events and have great communication skills?  Are you interested in ensuring young people have access to accurate information on STEM careers?


We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with an interest and enthusiasm for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) to join our team as a STEM and Event Co-ordinator.

Main purpose of this role: 

To build on and extend our work and impact to promote STEM subjects and careers to young people across the East Midlands, through co-ordination of a wide variety of projects including:

  • STEM Ambassadors
  • Space Ambassadors
  • AI’M Higher
  • Young Coders

LEBC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and an enhanced DBS will be required for this role.

Pay/Hours of work:

This role is offered on a full time basis of 37.5 hours per week. Part time or term time working will also be considered. The successful applicant will be provided with a company laptop and mobile telephone for work purposes. Mileage will be reimbursed as per the company’s policy.

 

Summary:

– £26,000 to £28,000 per annum, based on experience

– Full time 37.5 hours a week

– 10% Pension contribution and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

– Home based with 4 days a month office based in Leicester.

– The role covers the East Midlands, with responsibility for a specific territory, for example, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

– Ideal for someone who is passionate about working with schools and businesses to promote career opportunities in the STEM sector.

– Requires a drivers licence.
