Work Experience Success Story
LEBC secured, health and safety checked, and successfully placed a Year 10 student into a work experience placement with Astill Lodge Pharmacy in the heart of Leicester this term. Here’s what the student had to say about the recent experience.
“I went to Astill Lodge Pharmacy for my work experience placement. The experience was very interesting, enabling me to come out of my comfort zone, learn new skills and have an insight to the real world of work. In addition, I have been offered a paid part time job during the summer holidays by the employer, which I am really looking forward to.” Year 10 Student, Rushey Mead Academy
Can you provide a work experience placement for a student? Giving a young person a taste of the working world helps to build their confidence, and employability skills, as they prepare to transition from education to the workplace. The opportunity also enables a young person to gain knowledge of a sector and links curriculum learning to careers.
