LEBC’s STEM Team Delivers IET Faraday Challenge Days Across Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire
LEBC is proud to announce the delivery of 2023-2024 IET Faraday Challenge Days across Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, providing students with hands-on experience in engineering and technology.
In an exciting development, the LEBC STEM Team is delivering the 2023-2024 IET Faraday Challenge Days across Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. These events are part of an annual competition that introduces students to engineering, inspires them to consider engineering as a career, and helps to develop their practical and employability skills.
The IET Faraday Challenge Days are cross-curricular STEM activity days designed for students aged 12-13 years. They give teams of students the opportunity to research, design, and make prototype solutions to real-world engineering challenges.
“We are thrilled to bring the IET Faraday Challenge Days to students in Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire,” said Jo Winterbourne, the STEM Manager at LEBC. “We believe that these events will not only provide a fun and engaging learning experience but also inspire the next generation of engineers.”
“Lovely idea, I didn’t feel like I was at school with how much fun I had” – Male (12), Malcolm Arnold Academy
“Excellent STEM Ambassadors, equipment and overall presentation of the day” – Lead Practitioner, Southfield School

This year the IET Faraday Challenge Days are sponsored by National Highways and the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund. Previous sponsors have included Airbus, UKRI and Land Rover.
