Students in Year 12 across the East Midlands can apply for a Nuffield Research Work Experience Placement in the Summer holidays.
The 2 or 3 week placements are focused around a real research brief set by the placement providers, who include Universities, the NHS, and STEM businesses.

Eligibility:
- At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Level 6 or above, including maths, a science subject, and English (or another humanities subject).
- Studying one or more A-levels in; science, technology, engineering, economics, geography, geology, economics, psychology, computing, statistics, or maths.
- Be able to spend 3 consecutive weeks in July and/or August to go on the placement.
- Higher priority for places is given to students in receipt of Free School Meals or a combined household income of below £30,000 a year.
