Help us Make a Difference

Help LEBC to reach more young people. Together we can help shape the future workforce in Leicestershire.

Your donation will make a huge, often life-changing, difference.

  • Find Health and Safety check and make arrangements for over 10 students who are at risk of becoming NEET, to access a 1 day a week, long term Work Experience placement in a sector of their choice, to help inspire them and provide vital experience to help secure an Apprenticeship/Job or Further education course.
  • Inspire ALL young people to achieve their potential.  Social Mobility is at the heart of our strategy, giving young people who are furthest from the labour market the opportunities and support to get inspired by work encounters from Mock Interviews, to Careers Talks and visits to workplaces.   Your donation will go towards our work to engage more schools and companies to get involved in our programmes.
  • Support our growth plans, including our ambition to help employers to see the value of a diverse workforce, through projects supporting young people with SEND and neuro diversity to access work taster and placement experiences.
  • Support more local young people, providing them with independent careers guidance and access to careers awareness and information events to help them reach their potential.
  • Allow you/your business to sponsor a School Careers Event in a school local to you/your business. Together we can raise awareness of your sector and promote opportunities in your industry, in support of raising aspirations and boosting encounters between young people and professionals.
  • Boost opportunities for more young people to become inspired by STEM and understand the careers available in the growing sectors – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
  • Support a young person to secure an Apprenticeship. We will mentor the young person to be Apprenticeship ready, with practise interviews, CV support and 1:1 guidance to ensure they apply for the right opportunities, this is a free service we offer to any Young Person in the City and County, help us to keep this a free service.
  • Support an SEND student to access independent careers guidance and access to careers awareness and information events.
  • Purchase more STEM kits that we loan to local schools for free, to ensure all students have access to inspiring STEM related kit.
