Peter’s initial career was in Finance (KPMG, Alliance & Leicester and FD roles) before setting up his own business intelligence and data analytics company in 2005. Since then ‘the pace of change [in the digital transformation and analytics economy] has never been so fast, yet it will never be this slow again’ (Trudeau, Davos 05/02/15). But the challenges for individuals to keep up with this acceleration of technology and artificial intelligence has created a Data Literacy gap across large segments of the population including the younger generations looking to move into the workforce for the fist time. This experience and personal desire to influence the data literacy gap was the reason Peter was invited to the Board to help the young people of Leicestershire.
