‘Unbox your Future’- an innovative project boosting high impact experiences of the workplace, and real-world work challenges for young people in education.

Can you support LEBC’s latest programme, ‘Unbox your Future’, an innovative project boosting high impact experiences of the workplace, and real-world work challenges for young people in education?

In essence ‘Unbox your Future’ is a 4-week programme for students to take on a business challenge that an employer sets, with the finale being hosted at the employer’s premises. The programme aims to provide students with a unique and inspirational opportunity to solve a real-life work problem and put what they learn in school into action in the workplace. Importantly, the students will visit the employer’s site, to gain insight into the world of work and local career opportunities. Together we can support young people to become ‘work-ready’ and inspire their future career plans.

Here’s what is required of the employer –

Session 1: Deliver a careers talk to introduce yourself and the business to the students.
Session 2: Set the students a business challenge.
Session 3: Host a support session, to catch up with the students working on the business challenge.
Session 4: Allow students to visit your site, in order to pitch their final project. The employer will pick a winning team and offer all teams constructive feedback.
(We can be flexible regarding the number of sessions, and ensure the projects works for you).
